Roofing in Pulaski County

The rest of Pulaski County

Past Little Rock and North Little Rock, Pulaski County opens into a different set of towns. Sherwood spreads in neighborhoods north of the river city. Jacksonville is built around Little Rock Air Force Base. Maumelle follows the Arkansas River with newer houses along the water. South and east, Wrightsville and College Station sit nearer open ground, and Scott is where our day starts.

We are based in Scott, so College Station and Wrightsville are short drives. Sherwood and Jacksonville are a short drive north, and Maumelle means a longer run west along the river. Near the base the houses sit in tidy rows, while Maumelle roofs face the water and southern lots open up. Charlie Landon served at Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville.

What we watch for

Roof concerns we see around Pulaski County

Sherwood and Jacksonville

Sherwood neighborhoods and the housing near Little Rock Air Force Base are a short drive north of Scott. Roofs there range from compact base-area houses to larger Sherwood homes set back under pines.

Maumelle by the water

Much of Maumelle is newer building stock stretched along the water. Roof planes run wide, and a back slope may look toward the river instead of the street. We walk that far side too, not just the part visible from the cul-de-sac.

South and east towns

Wrightsville and College Station sit south and east of Little Rock, closer to our Scott base and to longer, more open lots. Roofs here are often simpler in shape, and we look hard at aging shingles and at debris that collects from open fields.

If you need a new roof, call Landon Roofing. Charlie and his crew did a fantastic job on my new roof. I'm very pleased and glad I called them!

Questions

Pulaski County roofing FAQs

Do you serve Jacksonville near the air base?

Yes. Jacksonville, including the neighborhoods around Little Rock Air Force Base, is north of our Scott shop and an easy drive for us. Base-area houses often have straightforward roof shapes, and we treat them with the same careful walk we give a larger Sherwood home.

What are Maumelle roofs like along the river?

A lot of Maumelle is newer construction following the Arkansas River. Roofs are often broad, and a rear slope may face water rather than the street. We make a point of seeing that back side, since driveway views miss it, and we tell you how the shingles are holding up.

Is Scott really where you are based?

Yes. Our day starts in Scott, in the southeast part of Pulaski County. College Station is a short hop west, and Wrightsville is not much farther. Being close means those south and east communities are easy for us to reach when a roof needs another look.
